It was a pleasure to attend a forum organized by the Young Diplomats of Kenya and The Turkish Embassy which was held on 13th July 2016 at the United Nations Office in Nairobi to discuss the Role of Young Women in International Affairs.
In attendance was The Director General UNON, H.E Ambassador Salhe-Work Zewde,The Chief Guest Amb. Simon Nabukwesi, Director Foreign Service Institute MFA,H.E Amb.Deniz Eke Turkish Ambassador to Kenya,Ms. Karen Freeman – Mission Director, USAID Kenya and East Africa and Mr. Moses Mwenda – Chairperson and Founder Young Diplomats of Kenya.
Young Diplomats of Kenya (YDK) is a pristine association of aspiring diplomats residing in Kenya, the first of its kind in Africa. It’s a platform for aspiring diplomats which seeks to recognize, mentor and empower the next generation of diplomats.
Young Diplomat of Kenya is fully recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. They play an important role in the growth of YDK. Their World class events build bridges and channels to engage all the key voices and major players in international affairs together to create tangible and measurable solutions to some of the world’s most challenging issues.
