Violet Mbiti Foundation involved in the enactment of youth friendly Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan by the County Government

Pleasure that Violet Mbiti Foundation has been invited to attend The Nairobi CSOs County Governance Participation Training courtesy of The International Republican Institute and National Endowment for Democracy.Theme:Supporting Marginalized Groups Democratic Participation in Kenya.Being taken through how to engage with the County Assembly and County Executives.


Glad that Violet Mbiti Foundation has been elected by fellow youth Civil Society Organizations to be in the core team that will push for youth agenda to be included in the Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) by the Members of County Assembly and The County Executive.This is courtesy of The International Republican Institute.

This is a key milestone as we will be actively engaged in Nairobi County Governance by engaging with the MCAs and County Executive.The draft Nairobi County Integrated Development plan will be released tomorrow September 30th 2017 in all the sub counties in Nairobi.As fellow youth,kindly visit the sub county office in your locality,go through the document and share your 3 recommendations via .

Our task is to push for youth recommendations to be included in the CIDP.We will work closely with MCAs to make this happen.Thereafter the Nairobi County Executive in charge of Finance will prepare the County Budget which will be based on the CIDP.So go tomorrow to your Nairobi sub county office, pick the document and go through it

The projects lie within the social pillar,economic pillar and political pillar as enshrined in Vision 2030.
