Awards in 2018 for Violet Mbiti and Violet Mbiti Foundation

This year I got awarded severally in various sectors. Started off by being awarded 1st Runners Up Diversity and Inclusion Outstanding Business Leader in Kenya under 40, travelling to Macedonia in Eastern Europe to be trained as a Trainer of Trainers,got selected to share my story at The MOTH story telling workshop,Violet Mbiti Foundation did baseline research for UN Major Group for Children and Youth here in Kenya ,invited to attend Women Deliver for Good Kenya Campaign Launch , hosted an online dialogue between Tanzania Youth and Kenyan youth courtesy of EQWIP Hubs Canada, Being featured on BBC News and KBC Radio,part of the team that drafted the revised National Youth Policy, Leading the KAYSRH team to International Conference on Family Planning in Rwanda,being elected as Co-Chair of the Kenya Adolescent and Youth Sexual Reproductive Health Network, Being a panelist in a Business forum during the East Africa Regional Youth Summit in Rwanda , Being elected into the interim steering committee of the Young African Activist Network in Botswana courtesy of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung , being part of the organizing committee of Amref Health Africa International youth pre-conference (AHAIC 2019) that will take place in March 2019 in Rwanda, overseeing construction of dam project in Machakos County from start to finish and finally being awarded (in this photo taken this month) for our exemplary work as part of the media team at our Church, Losing weight, Reading 25 books and overcoming my fears. Members of Violet Mbiti Foundation were trained in Health Budget Advocacy, Got to attend Ministry of Health meeting on Universal Health Coverage that brought various stakeholders ,attended round table meeting with CEC Health Nairobi County, participated in World Population Day, got trained in Global Financing Facility, attended launch of Adolescent Health Toolkit in Kilifi County, 2 members got elected into the Machakos County Youth Assembly as Youth MCAs and attended the Universal Health Coverage Youth mobilization day at AMREF International University .I believe that whatever task you are given, give it 150% and put God first .Slaying it all the way..#www.youthcountyprojectskenya.com

The way we challenge the status quo is by offering quality projects and opportunities that will empower socially, economically and politically the lives of 16 million unemployed youth from the 47 counties in Kenya that we believe we will reach. It also highlights projects focusing on youth being implemented in 47 counties in Kenya by the national government,county governments,donor agencies,civil society organisations (CSOs),Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs),Donor Agencies,Community Based Organisations (CBOs),private sector and individuals and their impact to the communities.
The projects lie within the social pillar,economic pillar and political pillar as enshrined in Vision 2030.
