It was a pleasure for Kenya Adolescent and Youth Sexual Reproductive Health Network where Violet Mbiti Foundation is a member organization to hold a round table discussion with Council of Governors Health Committee.
As you remember, last month we carried out the health budget advocacy in 5 counties namely Busia, Nairobi, Siaya, Bomet and Bungoma. The Devolution Youth Caravan transversed 5 counties namely Kajiado, Machakos, Nairobi, Kiambu and Nyeri.We attended the Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga County to share our key asks focused on opportunities for youth and adolescents on meaningful participation within Universal Health Coverage. We also conducted Artistic Activation in Mombasa County.
We are glad that the Council of Governors has stated it will work with us in the implementation of their final communique No 14 which seeks to address the issues raised by adolescents and youth.
